Dave Bolduc

Dave Bolduc is the Board Chair and Development Coordinator for Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia. Dave is also the Vice-Chair of Boys to Men USA.

Dave works as a Supply Chain SR Consultant for Kimberly-Clark Corporation focusing on capital projects. He just completed 37 years with K-C. He holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA.

Dave co-founded the Boys to Men Center in New England in 2008 and served as the Executive Director and Treasurer until 2010 when he moved to Virginia. While living in Connecticut he was a board member and treasurer for his church for 6 years.

Dave served as a big brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters before getting involved with Boys to Men Mentoring Network of VA.

He has no children of his own and resides with his partner, Teresa, in the Woodlake area of Chesterfield, VA

Bill Carroll

Bill Carroll is a Director at Large and Board Member for Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia, where he also serves on the Finance Committee.

Bill is the owner of Healthcare Associates of Virginia, Inc. and Viking Builders, LLC. He has been involved with Healthcare Associates for 33 years. He helps institutional providers (hospitals) manage their relationships with commercial insurance companies and governmental agencies. Viking Builders is a developer of subdivisions and an entry level home builder. The company has been in business for over 25 years.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Bill was with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield for 19 years and was responsible, in Virginia, for the contracts institutional providers had with Anthem.  Title upon departure was Vice President of Provider Services.

Bill served in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of Major. He served 3 years on activity duty and another 10 year in the Reserves. He received a degree in Business Administration from the Richmond Professional Institute (now Virginia Commonwealth University) with a concentration in accounting.

Bill is President of the Stancroft Homeowners Association and a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Glen Allen, VA where he is active in the Knights of Columbus Council #11172.

Bill and his significant other, Helen, are proud of their seven children (and their spouses) along with all the many grandchildren. Bill resides in Rockville, VA.



Eric David Fox, PhD

Eric David Fox, PhD, is the Board Vice-Chair for Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia.

Eric is responsible for Global Business Development for Velo Payments. Prior to that Eric worked for AliasWire, Fiserv and Capital One Financial Corporation, where, as General Manager of the Payment Networks and Co-Brands division, he managed all aspects of the company's partnerships with MasterCard and Visa.

Eric is a past president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Richmond and Tri-Cities, has served on the steering committee of the Capital Region Food Collaborative and was a team leader of Music Loggers in the Richmond Folk Festival. He is also an initiated member of the Mankind Project and an active volunteer in TEDxRVA. Eric has taught business communication courses at the university level and was the Founder of Mediated Resolutions, a dispute resolution consultancy.

Eric has two sons, Benjamin and Zachary and resides in Richmond, VA with his wife, Denise Saliga.

Debbie Marklin

Debbie Marklin is the Board Secretary for Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia. She also works as the administrative assistant for the organization.

Debbie is retired, after careers in administrative assistance with Randolph-Macon College (3 years) and AT&T (13 years). She served on numerous PTA boards in Henrico County, including President of both the J.R. Tucker HS PTA and the Short Pump Middle School PTA. She established the school bookstore, The Tiger’s Den, at Tucker, and was active in Party All Night, a drug and alcohol-free after-prom party.

She is a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Glen Allen, VA. She has three grown children, 5 grandchildren and resides in Manakin-Sabot, VA with her husband, John.

John Marklin

John Marklin is the Board Treasurer and a member of the Finance Committee for Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia.

John is retired after recently selling his two grocery stores in Bridgewater, VA and Chincoteague Island, VA. He had a long career in the food business as a Chief Financial Officer for divisions of Wetterau, Inc. (St. Louis), SuperValu (Minneapolis), Fiorucci Foods (Richmond) and Richfood (Richmond).

John owns Marklin Financial Services, LLC and provides financial consulting to businesses and individuals. He created the Personal Finance Boot Camp, an eight-week program that provides key personal finance advice to young adults.

John is a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Glen Allen, VA. He has three grown children, 5 grandchildren and resides in Manakin-Sabot, VA with his wife, Debbie.

Steve Martin

Steve Martin is the Program Director, an ex-officio board member, and mentor for Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia.

Steve’s first experience with Boys to Men was in 2002 at the mentor training, “Reclaiming Your Teenage Fire” help by the BTM chapter of Washington, DC. In 2003, he began the task of taking boys from Richmond to DC for biweekly meetings & activities. Steve started to train within the organization to execute mentor trainings and co-lead BTM initiations. He is now considered a full leader in the BTM Mentoring program, facilitating over 25 successful initiations in the Richmond area alone.

In 2010, under Steve’s direction, Boys To Men Mentoring Network of Virginia was officially incorporated. BTMVA currently maintains over 17 site-based programs that run weekly doing the school year. Steve continues to oversee and manage four trainings per year for

Mentors and Mentors-in-Training. In 2020 he received his certification in the work of “Mindfulness-Based Substance Abuse

Treatment for Adolescents.”

Steve was born and raised in the Westwood area of Richmond’s West End. He and his partner, Terry Curry, reside in Henrico County, VA.

John Saelens

John Saelens is a Director at Large and Board Member for Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia.

John is a retired 20-year executive from Fiserv, Inc which specialized in transactional processing and payments for the financial services industry. Prior to joining Fiserv, John held leadership positions in the Title Insurance Industry and Mortgage Investment Banking. He was the founder of Metropolitan Mortgage Services, a leader in outsourcing key processes in mortgage origination and servicing. Prior to entering the world of financial services, John was a secondary grade schoolteacher and vice principal as well as a restauranter. 

John received his BA degree from Knox College, Galesburg, IL and BS degree from California State University, Fullerton. He completed post graduate work at University of Illinois and University of Southern California.

John is currently a Co-Chair for a local Haiti Relief organization and has held various leadership positions in the Knights of Columbus chapter of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Bon Air, VA. He currently serves as a mentor for two weekly Circles within Boys to Men Mentoring Network of VA and is a volunteer for Westover Elementary School. He is a former Scout Leader and Little League Coach.

John resides in Midlothian, VA and has two adult children and two grandchildren.

Patrick Scherder

Patrick Scherder is a Director at Large and Board Member of Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia where he also serves on the Finance Committee. Patrick has over thirteen years of services delivery management and consulting experience, focused on data & analytics, application delivery, financial systems implementations, and internal controls. He currently serves as Tableau Software’s Services Industry Verticals Services Delivery Leader, primarily focused on Healthcare, Life Sciences and Financial Services. Prior to Tableau, Patrick was a Senior Manager in PwC's Analytic Insights organization, delivering differentiated and integrated data & analytics solutions to the Assurance Practice.Prior to joining the board of BTMVA, Patrick served as a mentor at the St Michael’s Circle. He is an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #14129.

Patrick graduated with a BA in History from the College of William & Mary in 2006, where he played Men’s Soccer and was active in the local Williamsburg Legacy youth soccer program. He also serves on the William & Mary Mason School of Business Analytics Advisory Board, specifically supporting Membership & Development activities.

Patrick resides in Henrico, VA with his wife, Christine, and three children (Hannah, Scarlett, and Jack).

Barry Welsch

Barry Welsch is a Director at Large and Board Member of Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia where he also serves on the Finance Committee. Barry worked in the banking and financial services industry for 40 years and owned Welsch Financial Services, which provided payment processing services to merchants and community banks. He also was co-founder and CFO of True Style Homes, LLC, a home builder in North Dakota since 2011. He retired in 2018.

Barry was a board member of the Slippery Rock University Foundation in Pennsylvania for over 25 years where he served on the Housing Construction Committee overseeing the construction of a $110 million campus housing complex. He was on the Executive Committee for 12 years and currently serves on the Investment Committee. 

Barry’s experience working with youth includes Assistant Scoutmaster of the Boys Scouts of America in Butler, PA, volunteer work with Girl Scouts of America and co-owning the community-based Family Sports Center complex in Butler, PA. Barry currently serves as a mentor for two weekly Circles within Boys to Men Mentoring Network of VA

Barry is active at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Glen Allen, VA where he served as a cabinet member on the “Living Our Mission” fund raising campaign and Legacy Giving Committee. Barry and his wife, Rayanne, will be married 50 years in 2021 and have three children and six grandchildren, who all reside in Virginia.

Warren McCrickard

Warren McCrickard is the Executive Director of Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia.

Warren is a native of Richmond and graduate of Hermitage High, Warren has spent most of his career in sales and marketing. He spent seven years in Los Angeles working at Paramount, DreamWorks and Summit (now Lionsgate). He spent seven years in Chattanooga, Tennessee working in the recreational marine industry and two years in Atlanta, Georgia working for his wife's Health Tech start-up, Motivo. He is excited to be home and to apply his 15+ years of corporate experience to the non-profit sector while learning and growing in this new role for Boys to Men. 

Warren resides in Richmond, VA and has a sweet lil' Boston Terrier named Lucy
